Tomorrow the Korean American Student Association at Northwestern University will be hosting their annual spring show, KASA Show 2017: Kastalgia! Last year they brought Dean to Chicago and again this year they have an exciting line-up of artists! Here are the headliners:
The first headliner is dancer Sorah Yang!
Sorah Yang is a dance teacher, choreographer and singer from California who has taught in universities and studios throughout the country, as well as in countries all over the world.
Check out one of my favorite choreography videos by her:
The second headliner will be Year of the OX!
The Chinese zodiac ox is associated with strength, loyalty and stubbornness, traits that Virginia-born rappers JL and Lyricks feel they exemplify in their music. Gathering millions of views on YouTube and having recently sold out a successful show in Chicago with rapper Dumbfoundead, YOX is already making big steps in the American hip-hop music scene while digging deep into their Korean American roots.
Last but not least artist Lydia Paek will be the final headliner!
Lydia is an LA- and Seoul-based songwriter, vocal coach and dancer. She has worked extensively with YG Entertainment, having co-written songs like ‘Ugly’ and ‘I Love You’ with girl group 2NE1. She was also featured in BIGBANG G-DRAGON‘s ‘ROD’ and music video ‘One of A Kind’ (www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJnICByeL8Q)
If you’re in the Chicago area, you don’t want to miss this show! You can buy tickets here.
