Zion. T, Crush and Eddy Kim on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook

First up, Zion. T and Crush are featured on the February 27th show. They perform ‘Just‘ live and then have a brief interview with MC Yoo Hee Yeol. There’s this gem of a quote from Crush who is appearing on Sketchbook for the first time: “It’s an honor to be on a show that I watch at home in my underwear.” Then Zion. T shares the interesting story of how and he and Crush first met. There is a lovely short performance of a bit of their first collaboration, ‘Two Melodies’ followed by Crush sharing a song he’s inspired by, ‘You in My Arms’ by the late Yoo Jaeha. When asked if there is something he’s better at than Zion. T, Crush responds that his only advantage is his youth. When asked what he has an advantage in, Zion. T simply states that he’s been to the military, eliciting a hilarious response from Crush. Watch the clip below for the rest!

On today’s episode, Eddy Kim is featured. Romantic singer-songwriter indeed. He performs first what is probably his most well known song, ‘The Manual’. I didn’t watch Superstar K4 so this is my first time hearing him perform live and his voice is wonderful. There is much swooning in the crowd. During the interview, an interrogation of Eddy Kim over the lyrics of ‘The Manual’ begins as MC Yoo Hee Yeol jokingly explains male dissatisfaction with the song. Eddy is a good sport the whole time. He then improvises a new version of the song ‘The Manual of Yoo Hee Yeol’ that is pure gold followed by ‘The Manual of Eddy Kim’ that is even better. Watch the rest of the interview and more performance from Eddy Kim below:
