As promised, a quick review of the new EP from AOMG artists Jay Park and Ugly Duck:
1. ㅎ ㄷ ㄷ Put’em Up
I always enjoy a strong intro track and that’s exactly what this is. I’m glad this album happened. Ugly Duck is a talented rapper and I hadn’t heard from him since his ‘Asia’ release (listen here).
2. 우리가 빠지면 Party가 아니지 (Ain’t No Party Like an AOMG Party)
Ugh I would have loved to experience this one live at the AOMG show a couple months ago. I guess we’ll have to wait until the next tour. Prima Vista and Cha Cha Malone killed this beat. Hype dance party tracks are one thing we know AOMG does well and this one doesn’t disappoint. Try listening and sitting still. Seriously, try. Check out the music video here.
3. PLP
To be completely honest, I was never a big fan of Far East Movement and I’m not a fan of this track. It’s just…noisy. Not my cup of tea but maybe you’ll enjoy it?
4. Nowhere
Less appealing musically but as always my critique is never complete without a full understanding of the lyrics (hopefully translations will be available soon).
5. 니가 알던 내가 아냐 Who You (Remix) feat. Loco, Day Day and Simon D
‘Who You’ was one of the best songs to come out of this season of Show Me The Money. While I still prefer the original, I liked Jay Park’s verse and I’m glad Day Day’s verse from the live performance was included this time.
Track 6 is a Clean Version of ‘Ain’t No Party’
What did you think of Scene Stealers? What’s your favorite track? Let me know in the comments!
